Get up close and personal with more than 20,000 marine animals from the San Francisco Bay and nearby waters at San Francisco’s only waterfront aquarium.  A visit to the Aquarium will bring you face-to-face with the Bay's amazing marine animals -- from regal Sevengill Sharks and the Giant Pacific Octopus, to graceful jellyfish and colorful sea stars. Under the Bay, the aquarium's largest exhibit includes 300 feet of tunnels and features thousands of Bay inhabitants. The PG&E Bay Lab features land animals that act as ambassadors for the protection of their habitats.

364 days a year, the Aquarium of the Bay is open to San Francisco Bay Area residents and visitors. The Aquarium works with local organizations dedicated to the conservation of the San Francisco Bay, its surrounding waters and habitats, and the animals that reside there. Interpretative naturalists, part of this commitment, are nearby to answer visitors' questions and guide hands-on animal encounters.
