Description

You are bidding for a one-night stay with breakfast for two at The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.

This iconic crown jewel perched atop San Francisco’s Nob Hill, presents an awe-inspiring picture of historic San Francisco. The grandeur of the hotel coupled with its reputation for impeccable service promises a truly memorable experience.

You will enjoy the amenities of a DELUXE KING ROOM. Deluxe rooms are located in the Tower building, built to take advantage of the stunning views atop Nob Hill. In addition to the Fairmont’s standard amenities*, a deluxe room includes an oversized marble bath with separate shower, as well a large desk and sitting area. This stylish San Francisco setting features picture windows with unrivalled skyline views. Each of the spacious guestrooms and suites has been elegantly updated including *flat screen TVs, Frette linen ensembles, pillow top beds, and MP3 docking stations.

Centrally located, this landmark hotel is a short cable car trip from the bustle of Union Square, a short walk to Chinatown, and Fisherman's Wharf. In fact, The Fairmont San Francisco hotel is the only spot in San Francisco where each of the City's cable car lines (The Powell Street line, The Hyde Street Line and The California Street Line) meet.

Opened in 1907, The Fairmont San Francisco in has long been considered a destination location. The hotel was nearly completed before the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. Although the structure survived, the interior was heavily damaged by fire, and opening was delayed until 1907. Architect and engineer Julia Morgan was hired to repair the building because of her then-innovative use of reinforced concrete. The hotel was named after mining magnate and U.S. Senator James Graham Fair (1831-1894), by his daughters Theresa Fair Oelrichs and Virginia Fair Vanderbilt who built the hotel in his honor. It has been featured in many films. Exterior images of the structure were used as stand-ins for the fictional St. Gregory Hotel in the 1983 television series, Hotel.

The Fairmont San Francisco was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 17, 2002.
