Ever wonder where the electricity comes from to power your lights, air conditioner, TV, video games, PC, and mobile phone charger?
Here is a chance for you to find out by visiting LG&E and KU Energy’s Trimble County Generating Station. Located on the Ohio River in Bedford, KY, the Trimble County station is home to more than 2,200 Megawatts of coal-fired and gas-fired generation, including one of the newest and cleanest coal plants in the country – Trimble County Unit #2.
The tour will begin and end at the LG&E Center in downtown Louisville and will take approximately five hours. Transportation to and from Trimble County station will be provided.
The tour can accommodate between 20 and 30 people so this would make a great event for a Scout troop or school field trip. Please provide three to four weeks notice for scheduling the tour.
This is a unique, educational opportunity!
Special Instructions
The tour will begin and end at the LG&E Center at 220 West Main Street, Louisville, KY. Please allow five hours for this event. Transportation to and from Trimble County Station will be provided. The tour can accommodate between 20 and 30 people. Three to four weeks notice needed to for scheduling the tour required.
A certificate will be given to the winner.

This item will have to be shipped or picked up by the winner at the JA office in Louisville, KY. Please allow two to three weeks for delivery.
