Beautiful winged race horse with the fleur-de-lis hidden in its wings

The work of Louisville artist Andre’ Foreman was selected as the official art of the Festival’s 57th annual celebration.  Foreman is a full-time artist with studio space at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center. He is a self-taught visual artist and sculptor, with an emphasis in oil and watercolor painting.   You can see this art in these wonderfully matted and framed post cards of the 2012 Kentucky Derby Frestival Art.

This piece is framed in matted gold with celery green, deep mahogany brown, and autumn orange matting to accent the beautiful colors found in the horse.  

It measures 12 inches by 9 1/2 inches.
