Turkish Mille Fleurs Hereke hand-knotted silk prayer rug manufactured about 1980 and imported from Istanbul in 1982 for $5,000.  Hereke carpets, one of the finest oriental carpets and highly collectable, are only produced in Hereke, a small coastal town in Turkey.  The rug measures 4' x 4'.
