Description

Gloriously decorative!  This ornament honors James A. Garfield, last of the log cabin presidents (1881).  The central scene is inspired by a period engraving of the South Front of the White House.  The 24 kt. gold-plated brass wreath surrounding the scene features bright enamel color and designs derived from art objects including the family china, needlework, and historic frames from the collection at Lawnfield, the historic Garfield home in Mentor, Ohio.  Beautifully crafted, engaging to the beholder!

The White House Historical Society creates these ornaments annually to fund the acquistion of historical furnishings and artwork for the permanent White House collection.

Details:  New in original packaging.  Ornament is 3" wide x 3" high.
