A native of Jackson, Tennessee, Phyllis works in oil, watercolor and pastels to bring the viewer a lighthearted, happy rendering of still life, children and landscapes that are often reminiscent of French impressionists. She has more than fifty years of experience in fine arts, and has studied in New York, Florida, Louisiana and California. Her work found its true direction during the thirty years living in Southern California. The atmosphere and culture greatly influenced her feeling for color and contemporary style.
