Sara Blumenschein's first career was as a systems enginner at Intel.  Only later did she begin pursuing art.  She chose pastels because of the vibrant colors - plus, working in them accomodated the interruptions of four young children.  Her work has received numerous awards at the local, national and international levels.  Sarah lives in Albuquerque with her husband and kids.
