Complementary admission for two people for the Behind the Scenes Tour or a combination of the Desert Walk and Insights Tour at Taliesin West.
The three hour, in-depth Behind the Scenes Tour includes leisurely mid-morning refreshments in the colorful Taliesin Fellowship dining room, a visit to the dramatic living room, newly refurbished living quarters wing, and a walk to the historic Sun Cottage or another desert site -all is ample time to take photographs and ask questions. This tour is offered at 9:15am on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The Desert Walk is offered at 11:15am every day, November through mid-April, weather permitting. This guided walk through the Sonoran Desert surrounding Taliesin West includes a discussion of Wright's impressions of the desert and the architectural challenges it presented. You'll learn about the native building materials found on the site.
The 90-minute Insights Tour is offered at 9am-4pm every day. This tour showcases Wright's living quarters wing, the Cabaret, Music Pavilion, Kiva, and Wright's private office. The dynamic Taliesin West Living Room is also included in this tour. The buildings are linked bby dramatic terraces, gardens, and walkways overlooking the rugged Sonoran desert and Valley below.
Frank Lloyd Wright began building this desert masterpiece in 1937 as his personal winter home, studio, and architectural campus. Located on the beautiful Sonoran desert in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains in northeast Scottsdale, the site offers a broad range of guided public tours. Visitors experience Wright’s brilliant ability to integrate indoor and outdoor spaces.
Taliesin West is a National Historic Landmark built between 1937 and 1959. As such, it was not designed or built to contemporary accessibility standards. The site offers a broad range of public tours everyday, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.

Certificate can be mailed to the winner in the US via USPS at no additional cost. Or it can be picked up from the Phoenix Zoo on Saturday, October 5th between 9am and 1pm.
