Description
Four guest passes to the Lowell Observatory.
Lowell Observatory is a private, nonprofit, research institution founded in 1894 by Percival Lowell. Since then, Lowell astronomers have conducted fundamental research that has led to the discovery of Pluto, the first evidence of the expanding Universe, and exhaustive measurements of the motions and basic properties of stars, among other achievements. Today, the staff of nearly 90 continues this tradition of discovery in all areas of astronomy and planetary science.
Day or night, adults and kids alike can explore the Universe at Lowell Observatory.
Peer through the telescope that Percival Lowell used to sketch Mars or visit the telescope that helped Clyde Tombaugh discover Pluto. Tour our facility with friendly, knowledgeable guides. Experience the Universe though widescreen multimedia shows, exhibits, live presentations, and "SlipherVision, our new immersive space theater."
The passes can be mailed to the winner in the US via USPS at no additional cost. Or item can be picked up from the Phoenix Zoo on Saturday, October 5th between 9am and 1pm.
