This vintage student desk is a sturdy, comfortable, adult-size desk 22" wide x 31" deep, and the back of the chair is 36 1/2" tall.

A message from the donor of this item: 

"The day I walked into an antique shop in Southern California this desk was a perfect reminder of the country school I always dreamed of attending.

My attraction to the desk was my connection to the country school near the Nebraska farm where I spent my young years.  My older siblings all attended country school and I was so excited to follow in their footsteps.  By the time I was ready to start school the powers that be decided to consolidate our district with the local larger school and off I went to the elementary school in town and missed the country school experience.  

I hope the desk finds a good home where the stories of an almost forgotten history can be remembered and passed along to future generations of learning."
