This item gives the winning bidder a day in the life of the elite arm of law enforcement, the SWAT team. Participant will be escorted through this "real-life" day by Lieutenant Dave Peruzzaro, a member of the San Mateo Police Department (SMPD). Lieutenant Peruzzaro was the 2009 State of California Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor winner and is the current Tactical Commander of the largest regional SWAT team in California.

This memorable day will include the following:

• Attend line-up (briefing) with Patrol team at beginning of the shift.


• Receive a tour of the brand new state-of-the-art SMPD facility.


• Participate in a ride-a-long with Lieutenant Peruzzaro and see the community through the eyes of an officer.


• Experience life, on the police beat, as you respond to calls for service and experience proactive police work; everything from making traffic stops to investigating suspicious persons and vehicles.
