Hideki Matsui, the Japanese wonder and retired Yankee has had a long and illustrious career on two continents. After playing the first ten seasons of his career for the Yomiuri Giants of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball, he played the next seven seasons, from 2003–2009, for the New York Yankees and officially retired in July 2013 as a New York Yankee. In Major League Baseball, Matsui was a 2x All Star, World Series Champion and World Series MVP in 2009.
