Artist's Statement
October 2012

I am an artist, a painter, living in the Pearl District in Portland Oregon in a Tree House near a large river and three parks. I paint everyday and spend my time in nature looking for motifs and following my spiritual path on planet earth. I have found that nature is always right about things, and always a great place to go for inspiration and the solitude necessary to create meaningful, yet simple pictures, even in the heart of a city.

My paintings, mainly, spring out of a spiritual practice that combines Theravada and Mahayana Buddhist, Hindu, and Pantheistic meditations and studies with compassion and gratitude. I believe and, most of the time, know that all metaphysical thought, yearning, and spirituality of this world actually come out of the same place and all Gods and Goddesses are one and the same source. This enables an open ness that is like the sky in one’s heart and a connectedness to reality beyond the illusion. I believe in two kinds of knowledge, the scientific and the transcendent....
