ABOUT US

Voicebox opened the doors to its original Northwest location on Halloween night, 2008. We’ve worked every day since to change the way our guests experience karaoke, creating what we consider the most inviting, inclusive and fun way to spend a night with friends.

Scott Simon started Voicebox so he could bring everything he loved about Asian-style box karaoke to his (then new) hometown of Portland, Oregon. Since opening day Scott and the incredible staff have helped redefine karaoke in the States by breaking expectations: a night at Voicebox is as much about the unexpected conversation, the background singer, and the goofy dance as it is about taking the mic.

In November of 2013 we will open our second location in the heart of Portland’s vibrant Lower Morrison (LoMo) neighborhood. With all the friends we’ve made in the past five years we expect to continue growing and opening new locations around Portland and beyond so that even more people can experience the authentic Voicebox experience.
