LIVE AUCTION EVENT ITEM
One (1) Hour Cocktail Reception for 8 people at Sheffield's at The Palace, followed by a 4 Course Dinner for 8 at The famed Prescott House (now owned and lovingly restored by The Evans Family).
Your dinner will be prepared by Sean McCaffrey, Chef/ Owner of H&S Concierge. Sean’s passion for cooking began as a child in the kitchen with his mother and grandmother in Northern New Jersey. As he grew older so did his passion. He served in the United States Navy for four years. During his time in the Navy, as a Mess Management Specialist aboard the USS George Washington, he saw the world. After leaving the Navy, Sean called the Norfolk VA/Outer Banks area home for thirteen years. He further advanced his culinary skills at several well-known establishments in the Outer Banks: Kelly's Outer Banks Restaurant and Sunset Grille. During this time, he was personally invited to travel to Canada to cook for the U.S. Ambassador, Gordon Griffin. He met his wife, Hathaway, in 2008 and they moved together to Asheville, North Carolina. In Asheville, Sean served as the head chef in a performance kitchen restaurant, and a private chef. Their desire to live on the ocean led them back to the southern coast of North Carolina coast where Sean was part of the opening team for a restaurant. Sean currently works at The Golf Club of Amelia Island and 29 South Eats in historic Fernandina Beach.
4 Course Menu as follows:
Bruschetta Trio
Boursin cheesecake – endive kimchi
Duck Terrine – pistachio, ricotta salata
Roasted butternut squash - arugula, pancetta, and dried cranberries
Salad
Jumbo lump crab, grilled asparagus, micro greens, citrus vinaigrette
Entrees
Pan seared sea scallops – truffle gnocchi, sweet corn emulsion, smoked roma tomatoes, crispy escarole
Sous vide lamb loin – creamy polenta, brussel leaves, pancetta, dried cherry a jus
Dessert
Chocolate torte with a warm caramel macadamia crème, Himalayan pink salt
