This beautiful five bedroom lodge offers the best of the Oregon Coast, from gorgeous ocean views from the master bedroom to a large deck overlooking the wooded wildlife preserve adjacent to the backyard. With an outdoor hot tub, impressive great room with fireplace, gourmet kitchen, and even a treadmill, this spacious house makes a wonderful family retreat any time of year. Up to fourteen guests can share the space, and everyone will find something to love here at the Lincoln City Ocean View Lodge, just one block from the long stretch of sandy beach.

The home has three floors of living space, each full of custom finishes and comfortable yet upscale furnishings. The main level of the home is its second story, with its masterpiece of a great room. This special space has 25-foot vaulted hardwood ceilings and features hand-cut logs as support beams, providing just enough rustic charm to help you feel as though you truly have gotten away from the hubbub of the "real world". Floor to ceiling windows overlook the wooded area to the rear of the property, and an expansive outdoor deck makes a lovely spot to sip your morning coffee or barbecue on the gas grill.

The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to prepare meals for a large group; all you'll need to bring are groceries! Just off the kitchen is a large dining table with seating for 8-10, with several other seats at the nearby breakfast bar. The living area is warm and welcoming, with a cozy gas fireplace and nicely equipped entertainment center. Kids of all ages will appreciate the flat-screen cable TV, DVD player. This main level is also home to three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with a twin, as well as a full bathroom with tub and shower.

Upstairs, the third floor features the luxurious master suite, which may be the highlight of the house (just don't tell the other guests!). Beneath the vaulted hardwood ceilings is a soft queen bed, separate sitting area, and even an entrance to a private balcony with magnificent ocean views. There is even a telescope for whale watching. The master bath has a separate shower and large soaking tub that makes an excellent escape when you need a bit of extra peace and quiet.

If the third-floor master suite is where you want to go and unwind, then the first level is the more laid-back, fun-loving spot in the home. In the main lounge area, there is an upright piano for sing-a-longs, a table perfect for playing cards, and even a treadmill for rainy day exercise. A futon provides space to kick back with a good book, or a comfortable bed for an extra guest. This level also has a bunk room with three sets of twin-sized bunks, making it an ideal space for younger guests. There is also a full bathroom on this level, and the garage has space for one car, with room for three more in the driveway (please observe this limit, which is strictly imposed by city policies!). Around the side of the house is a lovely outdoor hot tub for your year-round enjoyment.

The house also offers wireless Internet access for those who need to stay connected, a washer/dryer to keep up with wet bathing suits and hiking gear, and a nice selection of books, movies, games, and toys for rainy days. And don't forget to bring along the four-legged family members to this dog-friendly getaway (a $10 per night, per pet fee applies).

In addition to being a wonderful destination on its own, the house is also brilliantly located in Lincoln City, just south of the tiny Canyon Drive Park. Hiking trails extend from the backyard into the Oregon State Wildlife corridor that runs behind the house, so keep your eyes peeled during early morning hours for the families of deer that live near the creek. Tucked away on a quiet dead-end street with only three homes, you'll feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of Lincoln City's shopping, dining, casinos, movie theaters, and nightlife; however, all of those attractions are within easy reach of your front door. Within fifteen minutes you can walk to the outlet malls and a handful of the city's vast selection of coffeeshops, pubs, and restaurants, but feel safe letting your kids play in the front yard or ride bikes along the street without fear of busy traffic.

And, of course, the beautiful beach itself is just a three minute walk from your door. Directly in front of the home is the famed Nelscott Reef Tow surfing spot, which makes for entertaining "people-watching" during the winter months from the master bedroom balcony! Miles of sand stretch in either direction for your family to explore, and the surrounding area is famous for its fishing, boating, hiking, and wildlife viewing.
