For over 15 years Jim Smith has been looking for the bear inside the wood.  His cut-away style was started while under the guidance of a Alaskan ice craver.  Since then Jim has been setting free bears and woodland creatures he finds locked away in stumps, sometimes as tall as 15 feet. 

He carves for businesses, friends and charity organizations such as Calvin Crest Conference Camp, Oakhurst’s Elegant Auction, Boys & Girls Club, and March of Dimes.
