Description

Lunch for four with Jon and Mary Kaye Huntsman, current NCS parents. Guaranteed to be fascinating! Jon Huntsman, the man who according to one newscaster “wants to dig into the issues affecting America instead of just taking digs at his fellow politicians.” He brings to the discussion the perspective of a two-term Governor of Utah, Ambassador to China and to Singapore, Deputy U.S. Trade Representative, and of course, candidate for the Republican nomination for United States President. What are Jon Huntsman’s future plans, you ask? Well, as noted by one observer, “he’s still a young man.” You might also talk music. Jon Huntsman once played keyboards in a band called Wizard! Mary Kaye Huntsman, activist known for her dedication to children's issues and her passion for getting others involved. After one of her daughters was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, Mary Kaye Huntsman established the Bag of Hope program to help children and their families cope with juvenile diabetes. She went on to launch Power in You, a program aimed at helping youth who have to deal with adversity. Literacy, cyber-bullying, assault, all issues that Mary Kaye Huntsman has tackled head on. And don't forget -- Time Magazine described her as having significant political gifts of her own.
