3 Bricks Shy is comprised of songwriters Rick Lally, Shay Ryburn and Melinda Highfill. Their music stretches across genres including acoustic rock, country, pop, folk, blues and jazz. The band officially came to existence in November of 2012. Songwriters Rick Lally and Shay Ryburn had been performing as Rick and Shay. Melinda Highfill had joined them on various songs in the studio and on many different occasions during live performances. Melinda joined the team full-time in the summer of 2012 for the release party of both Rick's and Shay's solo CDs. They decided on a name - 3 Bricks Shy. Currently 3 Bricks Shy is a trio, but who is to say what the future could bring!

So far this year 3 Bricks Shy has been very busy. They've had the opportunity to play thousands of folks. As a band they always try to push out a fun & positive vibe to their audience and listeners! One person that introduced them recently at the start of a concert said he can't help but feel happy when he hears their music. Of course that made them feel like they were on cloud 9!
