This 1975 copy of the "Guide to Adirondack Trails High Peak Region and Northville-Placid Trail" is the seventh edition. 

Preface to Eight Edition

"The seventh edition of the guide has served many thousands of hikers through its five prints during the last nine years.  All of the trails in the guidebook have been measured in detail, and all trail descriptions have been reviewed and refined.  All sections of the guide have undergone at least minor modifications.  The major changes include a complete and expanded description of the Northville-Placid Trail consisting of a total of 132.10 m. Most of the task of "wheel pushing" and placing of trails markers fell on the shoulders of L. Morgan Porter and Father Raymond L. Donahue.  The eighth edition also includes a new USGS topographic map with trail markings of the High Peak Area."
