Description
Having recovered a number of lost dogs this year, our Lost Dogs Team is looking to get even better. They have requested a camera to aid in their efforts.
From the Team: National Mill Dog Rescue has a Lost Dogs Team. Our volunteer team helps fosters and adopters if a dog goes missing. Recovering a skittish puppy mill survivor is not always easy and requires skill, knowledge, strategy, and sometimes specialized equipment. The wildlife infrared digital motion sensor camera would be used when we discover a lost dog who may be frequenting a specific area. We put some food out and we may also set a humane trap, initially leaving the gate open. The camera is usually mounted on a tree and would be trained on the food area. That way we can see if it is our lost dog or some other hungry critter that is eating the food. If it is our lost dog, we would then engage the trap and hopefully be able to recover our lost dog.
