One of a series of illuminated porcelain ornaments produced by the Danbury Mint. Bottom of ornament has insert to push in miniature tree light so ornament emits lovely glow through piercings distributed throughout the entire ornament.  Beautifully detailed scene on front depicts angel appearing to the shepherds. Back of ornament contains verse Luke 2:10 in gold lettering:  “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy…” An inspirational gift just in time for the holiday season. This ornament measures 2.5 wide by 4" high x 1.25" thick.
