Beautiful rhinestone and sterling silver pin by jewelry manufacturer Van Dell, who produced high end costume jewelry from the 1940’s to the 1960’s. The Van Dell Corporation was founded in Providence, RI in 1943 producing high quality costume jewelry with designs resembling fine quality jewelry in sterling silver, gold filled, and gold plated metal using rhinestones and other imitation stones, simulated gemstones and cultured and faux pearls. This sterling silver pin measures 1.25” in diameter and is marked “Van Dell Sterling” on the back. This is an example of the “Mother’s” style jewelry where each child’s birthstone was mounted in birth order and the remaining spaces filled with clear stones. Excellent condition, tight clasp, all stones intact.
