Description
Is your child a potential junior MasterChef? Or does he/she just enjoy socializing and eating?! All are welcome (including CSB and non-CSB siblings) at this cooking-count-me-in organized by the 4th grade class. Hands On Gourmet will have five stations ready for the boys, each set up to create a different gourmet course, and each with its own chef-instructor to lead and encourage CSB's young chefs. The cooking is very interactive and fun, lasting about one to one and a half hours. There will be cocktails and hors d'oeuvres for any and all parents who want to join in the merriment while the boys cook (although drop-off is fine too). Once the food is ready, the boys will enjoy the feast they have created (with plenty of food for parents to sample!).
Hands On Gourmet has recently renovated a beautiful kitchen and dining space at 2325 Third Street in a historic building including stainless steel work stations, professional appliances, and a 30 foot farm table. Each guest will receive a Hands On Gourmet apron and recipes so that they can show off their new skills to friends and family. In addition, your Hands On Gourmet cooking experience will be captured on digital camera and shared.
Executive Chef Stephen Gibbs career has included such acclaimed restaurants as Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio, Roland Passot’s La Folie, and Jeremiah Tower’s Stars. All Hands On Gourmet chefs are recruited and trained by Chef Stephen, meeting a high standard of excellence in cooking and teaching. More importantly, the chefs are fun, lively and entertaining!
All CSB families are welcome to participate in this unique opportunity offered as the auction class gift!
Special Instructions
CSB families only please, $100 per child (includes any adults joining the fun). Saturday May 17th, 5:00 to 8:00 PM, with dinner served around 6:30 PM. Parents are welcome to either drop off their children or join Amy and Mark Atkinson (4th grade parents) at the cooking venue (2325 Third Street, No 409, San Francisco, CA 94107) to enjoy wine, cheese and appetizers – all CSB boys, siblings and their parents are welcome!
