Description
This very interesting auction item is a Playing with Fire blacksmith workshop with metal artist Jefferson Mack. Participants will each make a fire poker to take home.
You and 5 lucky friends (ages 12 and up) will learn blacksmithing basics in this introductory class. Topics covered will be:
- Safety
- Metal heating and Handling
- Hot Bending & Forming
- Hammering & Twisting
- You must bring safety glasses & sturdy gloves
Special Instructions
Participants must bring their own safety glasses & sturdy gloves.
Please be aware that you will be working with hot metal at temperatures in excess of 2000 degrees. There is a danger of SEVERE injury to life and limb. You are participating in this workshop with full knowledge of the risks involved. This is for ages 12 and up only.
