Description

Join Chris and Christian von Strasser to learn how to tie a fly. If you can tie your shoes, you can tie a fly!

Fly-tying can be as simple as using thread to tie natural materials, such as feathers, along with synthetics onto a hook to “sculpt” an imitation of food that fish eat – insects, minnows, shrimp, worms, frogs etc. Successful ties can also come straight from your imagination. Some people who never pick up a fishing pole tie flies simply for the creative fun of it.

This Count Me In is for four boys to join Chris and Christian in the von Strasser home after school on Wednesday May 28th to tie flies. All tools and materials will be provided. And then they can enjoy a fun pizza dinner!

Special Instructions

Open only to Cathedral 5th graders please, with a maximum of four boys. This fly-tying experience will take place immediately after school on Wednesday May 28th. Parents can pick up their child at the von Strasser home at 6:30 PM. Pizza/casual dinner provided.
