This sophisticated wine tasting for 10 people includes 10 flights from Barrique selections paired with local artisan cheeses and charcuterie appetizer plates.  

Barrique has a new twist on a wine bar – the wine is served straight from the barrel, procured directly from the producers. Though there’s also a substantial wine list for flights, with many varieties of local wine offered by the glass from their respective, constantly-rotating barrels, lined up in dramatic fashion behind the bar. Brick walls and visible beams also punctuate the 1400 square-foot, 49-seat interior that was designed by Gi Paoletti (Kasa, Tipsy Pig, Bloodhound). 

According to Barrique, the benefits of barrels are myriad. Barrique is an amalgamation of winery, tasting room and wine bar. Serving wine from the barrel is reminiscent of tasting wine in the caves of a winery in the California countryside. The focus and attention is on what’s in the glass rather than who’s on the label. The wine experience has more emphasis on the terroir, the farmer, and the appellations. The Barrique experience allows guests to value and judge the wines without the distraction or intimidation of ratings and marketing prose.
