Jud Heathcote is perhaps best known for having coached Earvin "Magic" Johnson during his two years at Michigan State University, including their 1979 National Championship Team.  Jud was head Basketball Coach for Sparty from 1976-1995.  Heathcote was named NABC Coach of the Year in 1990 and was enshrined into the NABC
