This is an Auction for an original stone Lithograph hand signed in pencil by Artist Edna Hibel. This work in titled “Ancient Wisdom” it is section ll 30/43 in an edition size of 243. This image was created by the Artist in Zurich, Switzerland in 2002. 

Edna Hibel is 97 years old and has been painting since she was nine. She attended the Boston Museum School of Arts and earned a traveling fellowship. She has traveled the world numerous times and loves to paint mothers and children. She has had an audience with the Queen of England. She is the only American woman artist to be awarded the Leonardo Di Vinci award for art. She is the only woman artist with a museum in her name dedicated to her art (FAU Jupiter). She was asked by the Bush family to paint a painting for Barbara Bush's Literacy Campaign. She also painted for Lucy Byrd Johnson for Project Hope. She has met with President Johnson during his presidency and former President Bush Sr. The Artist’s website is Hibel Museum of Art. Edna has a large base of private collectors around the world. She now lives on Singer Island and has retired
from painting.

This piece is called an Original Stone Lithograph. This is a 17th century method of producing art on Bavarian limestone. Most of Edna's lithographs were produced in an atlier in Zurich Switzerland. Lithographs are not copies they are each hand pressed and are not consider off set lithography. This method is a dying art form and Edna is known as a master lithographer and colorist.
