Description

Experience the official dessert of the state of Maryland! This famous dish is a local favorite featuring no less than 11 thin layers of cake layered with fudge.  Beginning in the 1800s, Smith Islanders would send these cakes with the watermen on the autumn oyster harvest.  The fudge between the layers of cake stays fresher and lasts much longer than cakes made with other frostings.  Simply delicious!
