Established in 1989, the Helmand has been providing the Baltimore community with fine Afghan food for more than 20 years.  Helmand was named after the owner's first born son, as well as in honor of the famed Helmand River that runs through the predominantly dry country of Afghanistan, bringing vitality and nourishment to its people.  Enjoy Afghan cuisine in the Mt.
