Roman is first noticed for his endearing smile and childlike fervor. He loves puzzles and paper mache, which are his favorite ways to spend the time. He also loves music and has become the Warm Hearth “tech support,” operating the CD player and television. He often acts as the “DJ,” choosing music that everyone will enjoy. He dreams of opening a music center. Roman also enjoys being outside and doing exercises to build his strength. He has shown remarkable progress in that he is increasingly willing to try new things. In his own words, Roman wants to live a good, long life and be clever and friendly. He
never wants to leave his brothers and sisters at Warm Hearth.
Intended use of sponsorship funds (if known): Roman is in emergent need of sponsorship funds to provide for his medical needs. Roman's current medications, prescribed for post-surgical recovery and for his ongoing condition, are: Cerucal (used for small intestine intubation); Bisacadil (stimulant laxative); Duphalac (a laxative); Dycynone (used for the prevention and treatment of capillary hemorrhages following surgeries); and Voltaren (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory).
Special Instructions
The sponsorship program allows you to personally connect with an orphaned Armenian child or adult.Your entire donation benefits the individual you are sponsoring - no funds support the facilities or SOAR generally, and SOAR assumes the cost of all wiring fees. You will receive a photo and personal profile of the individual you are sponsoring, updates on his/her health, and notes, drawings, or correspondence from him/her, at least twice a year. In the case of young or children with special needs, updates will come from the facility directors. SOAR now offers two sponsorship mechanisms:
Full Sponsorship: For a minimum of $50 a month ($600 annually), your sponsorship will provide items like tuition (or a savings account for future tuition), educational books and supplies, musical tutoring, and medical care. Minimum one year commitments are required. Birthday and/or holiday gifts are always appreciated and can be arranged through SOAR.
Mid-Level Sponsorship: For $25 a month ($300 annually), your sponsorship will provide items like tuition (or a savings account for future tuition), educational books and supplies, musical tutoring, and medical care. Minimum one year commitments are required. Birthday and/or holiday gifts are always appreciated and can be arranged through SOAR.
Special Occasion Package: For $150 annually, the Special Occasion Package provides $50 each for Easter, Christmas, and a birthday gift. SOAR will coordinate all purchases, consistent with the recipient's wishes. We respectfully ask that the $150 be paid up front and in full.
