Description
Canadian artist Jean Bradbury held an successful series of art workshops at the Zaatari Refugee Camp, Jordan in March 2013 and the children responded beautifully.
Syrians living as refugees are traumatized and have lost their homes, their livelihoods and many have lost friends and family. Art and creative craft opportunities can provide much needed emotional therapy as well as the reminder that life contains moments of joy and creativity. The majority of the children in Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan do not attend school regularly and therefore working creatively and productively thru art has proven to be a great method of healing.
Two pastel drawings made by very young kids - colorful and bright and come matted. They measure 8 by 10 on teh outside of the mat and 4.5 by 6.5 inside.
