OUR PRIMARY PURPOSE is to help you be in right relationship with your dog; happy, joyous and free.

THE ZEN DOG method is intended to develop the deepest possible relationship between you and your dog with the least amount of tension. We don't recommend choke chains, shock collars, alpha rolls or other popular aversion techniques. Nor are we that interested in clickers, treats and/or other methods intended to create "obedience". We want to help you look at, see and feel your dog's energy, understand his needs and assume your proper role as his leader. We'll encourage you to give her what she needs rather than what she wants, thus allowing her to be a dog and you to be the alpha without forcing your will on her.

THE ZEN DOG rules of engagement are 1) energy 2) sound 3) touch, in that order. Touch (which includes the handing of treats, leash work, etc.) is always the last resort. We aim to teach you how to use your focus to guide her. Taking ownership of any dog is a deep and subtle responsibility that will change your life once you commit to it.
