A particularly dedicated and persuasive exponent of the Russian song repertory, Hvorostovsky is a celebrated recitalist in demand in every corner of the globe. Hvorostovsky retains a strong musical and personal contact with Russia. He became the first opera singer to give a solo concert with orchestra and chorus on Red Square in Moscow; a concert televised in over 25 countries.
