5 yoga or barre classes at Lexington Power Yoga

Yolanda Taylor and Jillian McDonough met by fate and circumstance. We were both pursuing the opportunity of opening a yoga studio in Lexington center – independently.

Over the past 2 years – we’d randomly hear of the other’s name as we explored the various real estate openings in town. And then 2 days before we were both scheduled to sign final leases, we discovered we were planning similar studio concepts literally right next door to each other! We decided to meet, discussed the idea of joining forces, and the rest is history.

It was crazy fate, we consolidated in the best of the two locations, and we have found we complement each other perfectly – Jillian with an operations background, a strong attention to detail, and a creative brain that is constantly churning; Yolanda with a finance background, always stopping to make sure the economics of any decision work, and with tons of vision and passion towards opportunity.

A former gymnast and runner, we both came to yoga for different reasons. Jillian is just embarking on the her soon to be new life as a mother and made a life choice decision to leave the corporate world for a more family oriented and fulfilling one running her own businesses.

Yolanda is a mother of 4 children ranging in age from age 4-8, who through many trials and tribulations has found new passion and energy in being an entrepreneur.
