Description
What is Drawing?
Who: Ages 11-14
When: July 14-18
Hours: Monday through Friday in the Art Studio, 9:00-12:00 pm
This one -week course will investigate the importance of drawing as a basis and starting point for ideas. We will re-define, re-evisage, and re-form our ideas of what drawing is, and what it could be. Through the non-verbal ability to "speak" eloquently and read between the lines, the course will look at the relationship between drawing and the natural world through slides, discussions, and practical work. Drawing off a paper support, drawing with non-traditional materials, and looking and at things that are not traditionally defined as drawing are all aspects of this intensive practical course.
