Brain Benders

Who: Ages 8-10

Week 1: July 7-11    Week 2: July 28-August 1

Hours: 9:00 am-3:00 pm

Where: 4th Grade classroom

Come challenge yourself with this exciting, hands-on team   building camp! Participants will stretch their imaginations and hone their    problem-solving skills while working together to solve a wide variety of interesting challenges. With a strong focus on teamwork, communication and out-of-the-box thinking, campers will have a blast building, creating, and constructing. Projects will include complicated marble runs, toothpick structures, towers of cups, an egg drop and original Rube Goldberg Machines.

Kate Johnson is an enthusiastic environmental educator and camp counselor with more than 12 years teaching experience. As a part-time homeschooling mom she's always looking for creative ways to stretch kids minds and provide them with meaningful learning experiences. A former Spanish  instructor at the   Poughkeepsie Day School and long time member of the Mohonk Preserve Education Department, this is her first summer camp at High Meadow School.
