Description
This is truly a once in a lifetime experience. You, your friends, and family will have a fun filled day skiing with 2006 Winter Gold Medalist, Chandra Crawford. If you aren't a great skier, don't worry, Chandra will help you out and give you pointers to enjoy your time on the
slopes. This is an experience you will never forget and be bragging about to all your friends that you hung on the slopes with an Olympian.
If skiing isn't your thing, you could opt for a lunch hang out with Chandra along with your friends and family. Enjoy lunch and find out how much training it takes to prepare for the Olympics, what it means to represent your country, and talk about your own dreams and desires.
This will take place after the Winter Olympics and Chandra is located in Canmore, Alberta, Canada so that would be the easiest location for the experience. However, there is a chance that Chandra will be traveling throughout the year, so another location may work out. If you are far away, Chandra would love to Skype with you to talk about your own dreams and goals and you would be able to invite your friends, family, or your children's classmates for the call.
Chandra is a Canadian cross-country skier who has competed since 2001 at the age of 16. She won the gold medal in the women's cross-country 1.1 km (0.7 mi) sprint at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. She won her first World Cup Gold Medal in her home-town of Canmore in January, 2008 in the sprint Event, followed by a second Gold in Lahti, Finland in March, 2008. She finished the 2008 World Cup season ranked seventh in the sprint and 23rd overall. She won the Silver medal in 2011 World Cup, Rogla, Slovenia.
And don't forget to follow Chandra on Twitter and wish her luck as she goes for gold in Sochi, Russia.
Special Instructions
Will take place around Canmore, Alberta, Canada, though there is a chance that Chandra will be at other mountains throughout the year to meet up with the winner and their guests. Also, this will take place after the 2014 Winter Olympics.
