Description

Jenifer Brandeberry began her public affairs career in Washington DC, and after pursing a graduate degree from the University of Kansas began her state lobbying career specializing in education, local government and transportation issue.  Since 1997 Ms. Brandeberry has been lobbying before the Colorado General Assembly for a wide variety of clients including the Regional Transportation District and the City and County of Denver.  As a contract lobbyist at the Colorado Capitol Jenifer is hired by clients to monitor legislation and represent their interests.  Having a variety of different clients keeps Jenifer well-versed in majority of the proposed legislation introduced.  A typical day for Jenifer would be monitoring the debate on the House and Senate floors, proceeding to meetings with legislators and or clients on issues of interest, monitoring afternoon committee hearings and reporting back to clients on these hearings.  The world of contract lobbying is fast-paced.  In one second Jenifer could be in the House lobbying a bill and another second a bill could move in the Senate.  Together with her colleagues in Brandeberry McKenna they manage to do it all and then begin the day over again until Sine Die (end of session).  A person interested in pursuing a lobbying career or a possible political or public affairs career would be greatly served by spending the day with Jenifer.  She is well respected at the Capitol and often sought by politicians and other lobbyist for advice and strategic support.  Jenifer is also the Mother of Kent Denver Alum, Bailey Tills '12, who is currently attending Brown University.
