A Kent Denver student OR parent will spend a day with award winning Chef Hosea Rosenberg, winner of Bravo's TV's Top Chef Season 5.  Hosea is the owner of Blackbelly Catering and a new restaurant coming this summer, Blackbelly Market located in Boulder, CO.  The lucky winner will shadow Hosea for a day either at a Farm Dinner either June 4, 2014, July 17, 2014, August 20, 2014 or September 17, 2014.  Or the winning bidder may chose a day with Chef Hosea in the restaurant kitchen.


At Blackbelly Catering, we focus on one of a kind catering experience to our clients. Intimate private dinners to large corporate events, we can customize individually to your needs, unparalleled to any other caterers.

Chef Hosea Rosenberg will be opening a new restaurant named Blackbelly Market this summer, located in East Boulder, the new venture will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and will also host a bar and a butcher shop.  Later in the summer Blackbelly will also be rolling out its mobile catering truck, Blackbelly Mobile.  All facets of Blackbelly Market will continue to concentrate on providing innovative cuisine using the freshest most in season ingredients sourced from the Blackbelly farm.


Blackbelly Catering came to life when award winning Chef Hosea Rosenberg, winner of Bravo’s Top Chef Season Five, decided that he wanted to use his culinary excellence to create unique and memorable event experiences for friends and clients alike.

We are a full-service events and catering company with a mission to provide the perfect event experience through unparalleled service and an unforgettable custom menu using the most seasonal local ingredients we can find. In fact, we source most of our ingredients from our own Blackbelly Farm, where we raise our own animals and grow fresh produce.

We are known for delivering high-end innovative, custom designed cuisine. Chef Hosea, who served as Executive Chef of Jax Fish House Boulder for six years prior to opening Blackbelly, will work with you to create a menu that reflects your style and tastes and will leave you and your guests with a lasting memory.

All of our menu items are hand-made from scratch, including our cured meats, sausages and other items.

One of the reasons we are so successful in our event execution is due to our ability to create a kitchen in any given environment. Because we are considered an “off premise” catering and events company, we have a high level of expertise in this arena, as this is something we do on a regular basis. Our inventory of equipment, including full size ovens, grills and refrigerators allows us to bring our kitchen to you.

THE BLACKBELLY FARM

One of the things that sets us apart from most caterers, is our ability to source our ingredients from our own Blackbelly Farm, located in eastern Boulder County, where we raise our own Blackbelly sheep, along with five different breeds of pigs. We’ve recently expanded our farm family and farming operations to include chickens, ducks, and a much larger produce operation. Our farm is also hosts a greenhouse, and acres of fertile land from which we supply our operation.


By sourcing from our own farm where we tend to our own animals, we have complete control of the quality of meats we sell and prepare. We are able to regulate their diet and environment, which allows us to produce a variety of meats, homemade sausage, and charcuterie that have been locally and humanely raised and treated with the utmost respect. We take pride in the fact that our animals lead a healthy and happy life. We use our own meats on menus whenever possible.


What we can’t source from our own farm, we get locally from other farms in Colorado, such as Isabelle Farm, Pachamama Farm, Lyons Farmette, etc.
