Inspired and intuitive are two of the words used to describe hair stylist and master colorist Vanessa Knight. With nearly two decades of experience in salons and on film sets, her skills have made her one of the most sought after hairdressers in Los Angeles.

Adept at creating cuts, colors and styles that range from classic and natural to contemporary and extremely fashion forward, she is not merely a hairdresser, but an artist. She derives pleasure and satisfaction from using her innate talents to help her clients look and feel their best.

At an early age, Vanessa already knew she wanted to pursue a career in hair design. After getting her cosmetology degree, she continued her training, taking haircutting courses with Tony And Guy and Vidal Sassoon, and receiving certifications in coloring from Redken, Wella, Hair Colorist Summit and Goldwell. Though her education in the field is extensive, she is also a perpetual student, continually keeping up with state of the art techniques to ensure that her work is fresh and updated.

Equally at home behind the chair in a salon or on location, she has done on-set styling for music videos, television shows, and instructional fitness DVDs. Her film resume includes work for both major studios and independents, including Starship Troupers, and What We Do Is Secret. Her ability to create lush natural looks lead her to work with international dance star Princess Farhana, and because of her trend-setting sensibility, some of her celebrity clients in the music business include The Red Hot Chili Peppers, OKGO, The Ataris and The Gorillas.
