Hold a concert, a party or an art exhibition for a 2-to-4-hour block, depending on scheduling, at Spectrum, a Lower East Side performance space. The New York Times described Spectrum in August 2012: "High-end equipment notwithstanding, Spectrum offers a homey vibe. Bulging bookshelves line one wall, and cushy sofas accommodate some audience members. The space recalls New York’s experimental-music lofts of the 1970s and ’80s, but its spirit harks back further, to the Romantic salon and to private-house concerts." Forty-fifty guests can fit comfortably.  Bonus apparatus: a nine-foot Steinway concert grand (Model D).
