James Tranchemontagne, chef and co-owner of The Frog & Turtle with his wife Heidi, is one of Portland's best chefs.  James' style of food mixes classical French techniques with his love of Canadian & New England comfort food. A true believer in satisfying the guests' needs, he prepares seafood, meat, game and vegetarian dishes from scratch to order. His pastry work showcases him as one of the last round robin chefs.
