About Bereche: Soon after retailers introduced Bereche Champagnes, The Wine Advocate did their first report on Bereche.  The wines earned ratings up to 95 points and comments like “gorgeous”, “a clear standout”, and “loaded with distinctiveness and character across the board”.  The current releases are even better.  Other Champagne writers and bloggers have also taken notice of how great these are.   One Champagne-focused publication, “The Champagne Warrior”, written by Champagne expert Brad Baker, named Bereche his “2009 Champagne Producer of the Year” and wrote: “… it was easy for me to pick my producer of the year for 2009– there was hardly a competition. Bereche captured my mind, heart, and soul…”

Description: This has beautifully deep, bright pink color. The fruit-filled aromas show fraise (strawberry), red cherries, gentle spices, and crushed rocks. The palate is bright, powerful and vivid with mouth-watering red raspberry, strawberry, and tart cherry fruit with a hint of refreshing white pepper and stone dust minerality.  This is somehow both very substantial and extremely elegant. The fruit and spice character are wonderful now and the texture will only become richer and creamier as it ages over the next 5-6 years.

 "The NV (2009) Extra Brut Rose Campania Remensis is all about cut and precision, which is amazing considering it is mostly Pinot Noir! Pomegranate, orange peel, spices, chalk and freshly cut flowers flow effortlessly in this crystalline, striking Rosé. All the elements are in balance. The depth of the fruit and the aromatics really come to life on the textured, resonant finish. This is another superb Champagne from Bérèche. The Campania Remensis is 60-65% Pinot Noir, the rest mostly Chardonnay, and a dollop of Pinot Meunier. This bottle was disgorged in November 2012. Dosage was 3 grams per liter." (04/13)"
