About Cobb: Maybe you’ve heard of Flowers?? Well Ross Cobb was the winemaker there for 9 years and put Flowers on the map with his exceptional pinot noirs and chardonnays. Cobb wines stay low on the alcohol, all at the 13.5% range or lower, and high on the quality. This is a small production, usually a mailing list only winery.

Some press on Cobb:

“Ross Cobb is the future of California pinot noir! His pinots from the Sonoma Coast are head-turners and image erasers. For those than believe that California reds are too rich, fat, and alcoholic, think again. And his wines are not lacking in juicy fruit, spice, or minerality – and have glorious purity of fruit. They’re elegant and nuanced, with mouthwatering acidity and remarkable complexity. Put them in a blind tasting with Red Burgundy and I bet they show very well.”
