Bobbins and Threads is a sewing school in the studio of Heather Taylor for children ages 8 and up. Students learn techniques and concepts of machine sewing in simple, fun and inspiring ways in a real workroom in Burlington, CT. Children and teens learn the correct use of a machine, sewing tricks, tools and techniques, as well as hand sewing. Students learn the basics of pattern layout, how to follow instructions, problem solve and to apply their own ideas into each fashionable project they create.
Machines, patterns, and some fabrics are supplied. Continued projects may include shirts, pants, sleepwear, dresses, bags, crafts and SEW much more. Once a student learns the basics there is no limit to what they can create.
