Artist statement:
I'm in love with painting, it's a beautiful obsession. I would describe my work as abstract and surreal. I work with pastels and acrylic. The canvas comes to life through what I envision, from what my life experiences have taught me to see and translate for others. I live my passion to continually express it through ever evolving mediums and materials I use to create art.
Art is my Soul and is in every action of mine. It brings focus to my thoughts, words and actions. Art is my voice. I have asked myself why I enjoy painting and what motivates me to create art. The answer I receive is that my primary motivation as an artist comes from interpreting the unseen, a meditation that creates beauty and extracts sacredness from the ordinary and gives it its own language. I make a difference in the world through my artistic journey, and that brings me joy.
For the past forty years I have shared my time between Chiapas, Mexico and Tucson, Arizona, and have traveled extensively throughout the world. My travels have influenced my work and provided me with the insight, clarity and inspiration I need to continue to create and expand my vision.

All other items must be picked up at Access Tucson Community Media (124 E. Broadway Blvd—SE corner of Broadway and 6th Ave). We are open Tuesdays 4pm-9pm, Fridays 2pm-10pm and Saturdays 2pm-10pm.
If you opt not to pick up, shipping and handling is paid for by the winner.
Please contact us if you need to make arrangements for pick up outside of building hours or if you want to add additional USPS services to your package like insurance, registered mail or signature confirmation, etc.
Any amount bid above the face value is tax-deductible for the bidder.
