Description

For rising 12th graders!

The Campbell Hall College Counseling Boot Camp offers a complete approach to building a college admissions application and is ideal for students who have busy fall schedules.  The small student/faculty ratio (12:1) enhances the effectiveness and intimacy of our program.

Each day the students will craft their essay(s) and writing supplements with an English teacher for two hours, then work with his/her college counselor for two hours.

The counselors will: 1) direct the students through more in-depth research while developing a balanced list of prospective colleges; 2) help students understand how to complete each part of the Common Application and review their progress; and 3) teach students about the college interview process.

Students will make substantial progress on the completion of their applications.

This five-day camp is most appropriate for seniors who are applying to private and/or public colleges or universities (especially students who plan to apply Early Decision and/or Early Action) using the Common Application. Since the UC and CSU applications are not available until October, we will not be covering these applications in Boot Camp.

Space is limited and the Boot Camp fills up every year.   While a concerted effort has been made to schedule Boot Camp so as not to conflict with other Campbell Hall summer activities, please check the dates before signing up, as daily attendance is mandatory.
